Hi,

I am having issues getting JFBConnect to work on my Joomla 2.5 site, once installed in says "JFBConnect not found. Please reinstall.", I have reinstalled twice and still the same error.

Also there are a lot of Profile Plugins and Social plugins, are there any which need installing?

Regards
Joolz

Joolz,
The main component is all that's required for most functionality. Our JFBConnect Configuration Guide can take you through the other addons. Mainly, if you don't have any 3rd party profile systems (JomSocial, Community Builder, Kunena, etc), you can ignore the profile plugins.

The Social modules are there to let you more easily add the Like button, Comment box, etc to module positions on your page. All of those social features can be added in other ways, or automatically, so if you don't want to use them in module positions, ignore them too.

Finally, for the big question, we searched the code. The only place that text comes from is when you're using the JFBCLike module. However, the code that generates that message is looking to see if the /components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/facebook.php file exists. That file should definitely be on your site. If not, a lot of JFBConnect functionality won't work. If it's not there, all I can guess is that some of the permissions on your /components or /components/com_jfbconnect which is preventing some files from installing properly.

Are you seeing any other error messages, like in the JFBConnect Admin Overview page, or anywhere else? It's odd if that's the only error message, but either way, we'll help you get to the bottom of it!

Thanks,
Alex

Adedeji,
Please create new posts in the future when you are posting. Your question really isn't related to the topic you posted in. However, as to your question, PayPal has put your payment on hold and sent the following email to us directly after you paid:

Adedeji Adeyemi just sent you money with PayPal. To help protect you, we're reviewing this payment.

The Payment Review may take up to 24 hours. When we've completed the review, we'll either clear or cancel the payment. If the payment clears: You may proceed to process the order. To know if your item is covered, check the 'Seller Protection' section of the 'Transaction Details' page and ensure that it states 'Eligible'.

You shouldn't ship the item until we let you know that the payment has cleared. We'll send you an email when we complete the review or you can check the Transaction History tab of your PayPal account.

I'm not sure why the put your payment on hold, but when it's released, your subscription should be automatically enabled.

Hope that helps, but if you have any questions, just let us know (in a new forum post).

Thanks,
Alex
