This is for sure someting very basic, but I haven't figure it out.
So I have a small site reportercivico.com
In the frontpage the Login Module (on the right)
In Firefox (14.0.1) the "Login with Facebook" (javascript configure in the module) appears like a charm
In Chrome (21.0.1180.60 m) it just shows text "Login with Faceboook".
Cleared cookies, and cache on both browsers and still persists.

Any tips on how to fix this?

My best regards,
JA

There's a few possible causes for this, all of which are usually very easy to fix. First though, we'll need a little more info to give you the best solution. Can you tell us what version of JFBConnect and Joomla you are using?

Also, please post from the account you subscribed to JFBConnect from. Priority support is for active subscribers only.

Thanks,

JA,
Thanks for subscribing! I just tried to go to your site in Chrome v20 and v21. In both, the Login with Facebook button appeared just fine immediately for me. This was on a Mac, and I can test on a Windows PC later on if necessary.

I did some checks on the page and everything looks to be setup correctly. The main times that the Login With Facebook button won't appear and will just remain text are:
* You have multiple Facebook extensions installed and they are conflicting with each other - This doesn't look to be the case
* There is a Javascript error on the page - Again, doesn't seem to be the case
* There is a problem downloading the page to your browser. The login button will only render after the page has fully loaded. If the loading indicator is going in circles in the tab browser, that's a sign that something is either being delayed while downloading or something else is happening. I don't see that on my end, but it may be the issue on yours. Try to check if that may be the case.. if the page never loads, the Javascript won't execute and the button won't display.

Let us know if any of that sounds like it might be the possible cause or if there's any reason the page may not be finishing to load for you. If not, we'll try to help further, but may also recommend trying a different computer with Chrome just to see if the results are different.

Thanks,
Alex

Another alternative is to use the SCLogin options for the type of Facebook Button and set it to an image or text link and just see if that works. That will validate that it's some sort of loading issue, but that the button does actually work.
