Hi,
I have been using jfbcinvite_j1.7_v3.4.0 earlier, can you please guide me on how to upgrade to jfbcrequest_j2.5_v4.2.0

The new Requests system is a bit more complex to get going than the Invite module, but it also offers a lot more power with full tracking and other types of things. I'd recommend reading our Facebook Requests for Joomla configuration guide.

After you go through that, if you still have any questions, just let us know!

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your prompt reply, I was able to create the Request and also was able to send it but the message is not shown correctly. It shows binary text.
And also is there any guidance regarding installing the JFBCRequest Module. After I installed the Request Module, the Overview page of the JFBConnect is not showing up. Attached below is the screen shot. I tried Auto tune but nothing happens

Note : I am trying on my local machine

You're likely running a really old version of Joomla. The current is version 2.5.6. The error you're seeing is with our Live Update software which allows you to upgrade more easily from the back-end. However, it only works with at least version 1.7.4 of Joomla, and possibly only with v2.5.x.

2.5 is highly recommended as there are many, many security related issues fixed as well as many other bugs. Upgrading from 1.6 or 1.7 is usually just a 1-click procedure, though we'd always recommend backing your site up first.

Let us know if that's not it and you're using a more recent version, and we can come up with some other possible causes.
