Can't connect was created by herek
Hello,

I can't connect using jfb connect. The problem start at sudden and I can't figure out.

www.sosid.com.br - I can't connect using my credentials (as super admin). If I add 'registered" also to my profile, then I can log using the facebook credentials.

However, after login if I click on anything I lost session and got logged out. If I click on any profile I get this error:

Warning: Missing argument 3 for CProfileAccess::profileView() in /home/sosidcom/public_html/components/com_community/helpers/access/profile.php on line 39

However, I have a development site at www.sosid.com.br/dev and this has older JFB connect version, even with my user is super admin, I can log normally.
This development website has a different database.

Another important information.

If I just change the configuration.php and use the official website configuration file in the development (/dev) website, then I can log also normally.

therefore, it looks like there is something in the files.

what could be wrong?

Sandro

Sandro,
The function you mention with the warning is a part of JomSocial (com_community), not JFBConnect. While it's possible that function is related to a call we make, I don't believe we use that code for logging in purposes as all.

Can you:
* Let me know what version of JFBConnect and the JFBConnect JomSocial profile plugin you're using on both sites?
* Is the *only* difference between these sites the version of JFBConnect?
* Did you recently upgrade JFBConnect and run into the problem, or did it happen with no other changes to JFBConnect or your site?
* Normal Joomla logins work fine, correct? It's *only* loggin in with JFBConnect that has a problem?
* Tell me what other User and Authentication plugins you have enabled on your site.

I'm honestly not sure what the issue would be. JFBConnect doesn't check the user's level. We simply look if they are blocked or not. If they have an account, we log them into it, whatever user level they are. Joomla (and user/authentication plugins) take care of the user level stuff.

Please let me know any other changes you've made between the sites as that will be critical in narrowing things down further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello alex,

Never mind. You had the credentials to look into and help me out.

I spent all day trying to solve and it only restoring a 10 days backup solve the problem.

I have lost all day, users, components, configurations, etc and it should be very easy if you just log in in the backend and at least try to see the problem.

Thank you

Sandro,
I hadn't seen the emails until you mentioned. We monitor our forums much more regularly, which is why I've stated repeatedly in your emails to use the forums for technical questions. Additionally, our forums have a Private Message area where you can send things such as credentials. It's much easier to have everything organized in one place for us, which is why we don't use email for support.

As for your issue, I'll gladly try to login shortly to see the error. However, I don't know your site, your configuration, or anything else. Simply seeing the exact same warning you supplied to me likely won't tell me much more than your post. If you could please answer the questions about what may have cause it, that will greatly narrow down the areas to investigate. Otherwise, you're asking us to understand your complete site without knowing anything about it, which is impractical or impossible.

Sorry to ask so many questions. It's not meant to push you away. Within 45 minutes of your original post, I responded. Obviously, we work hard and quick on our tech support, but we don't know everything about every site.

Hope that explains. Again, we will look shortly, but without more information from the questions above, and especially without access to your dev site (which works) to compare, I don't think I'll have any good news for you other than "Yes, I see the problem too".

Thanks,
Alex

I just reread that you restored and that things work with the old backup. Sorry I couldn't log in. If the issue presents itself again, definitely let us know, and we'll help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
