Hi,

In our website (social.drishtant.com), there is a registration form that appears when an user tries to login using JFBConnect for the first time.
The form fields are linked to Jomsocial form fields. Jomsocial allows tooltips (help text) for each field. These tooltips are appearing in an awkward way (overlapping with the field's text) in this registration form.

Is it possible to turn off or change the position of the tooltips text just for the JFBconnect registration form?
Which template file can we edit to change the look and feel of this registration form?

If you haven't upgraded to JFBConnect v4.2.4 as well as the new JomSocial profile plugin, do that first. It fixes the styles for the JomSocial tooltips so they aren't transparent. Additionally, it adds a new Vertical, Horizontal, and Registration Only option for the Login / Register view for some better default styles. Finally, it also has a full CSS file broken out for it which is easily template overridden so that you can style anything on that page as you wish.

So, please upgrade to that and test.. then, if you still need help, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

No problem! Let us know if you still have issues after you upgrade.

Hi Alex,

We have upgraded to the new version of JFBConnect but the tooltip issue is not solved even after the upgrade. The default tooltips look nice but the same css is not applied in the Jomsocial fields.

Also we need help on the following issues:
1. Under Jomsocial field mapping, there are some Jomsocial fields that are present by default and cannot be changed. How are these fields selected? How to change them?

2. How to remove captcha during registration?

Thanks!

Your site doesn't look like you upgrade the JomSocial profile plugin. My guess is that you're running the v4.2.0 plugin. You should upgrade that to 4.2.4 for the tooltips to work. The profile plugin is separate from the main component and needs to be upgraded individually.

For the captcha, you'll want to set the Captcha in your Global Configuration to "None Selected". If you still want captcha for normal Joomla Registration, go to your User Manager, edit the Parameters and set the Captcha there to use ReCaptcha.

Hope that all helps, but let us know if you run into anything else!

Alex,

After updating the plugin, the tooltips are looking better but we are facing the following issues:
1. We have multiple profile types in our system. The registration process is working fine with the default profile type ('Individual' in our case). However if you change the profile type (the URL changes) and the 404 error appears after user clicks "Register".
2. If user doesn't fill any of the required fields, some sort of error message should appear. If a field is left blank and the user clicks "Register" nothing happens currently. It'll be better if some kind of error message appears.

Hey Alex,

We have done some work and resolved the 404 issue.

However there seems to be no messages for registration field validation. Can you please help us in displaying error messages when an user skips a field in the registration form?
