my client purchased the component, I installed it on joomla 1.7.3 and did everything that I'm supposed to do but when I go to the front end, nothing happens. it's like the extension has never been installed. any assistance will be appreciated. thanks.

I got it to work. the display was set to 'no' but I changed it to 'all' and changed its position. it's working now. thanks.

That's a bug with Joomla 1.7.x where the modules are defaulted to no positions. I'd still highly recommend upgrading to 2.5.6 for all the security and bug-fixes that have been made since Joomla 1.7.3.
