Hey Alex,

I tried to reply to my last post about this, but it looks like the thread was locked: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...sing-facebook-log-in

Was this feature ever enabled in v4.2? I just updated to 4.2.3 last week and forgot about that little gem. :)

Nope, never added. Still on our list, but we basically pushed it back. The reasoning was that since user's registering through Joomla would still get the email, it makes it less common that admins would want those emails sent, but not the Facebook ones. It is something we're planning on doing, but just a lower priority. Hopefully, you can still get your work around in there of commenting out the line or 2 in the other thread. If you need assistance though, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Cool, thanks for the update! Are you still planning to offer support for multiple facebook application ID's? I'd love the ability to add multiple tabs to my facebook page. :)

Ryan,
Yeah, it's always something we keep looking into adding. It's not a hugely requested feature, but one we do agree would be beneficial to at least a good minority of our users. We keep getting distracted with other more high-profile features though... Requests (v4.1), Autotune/AUP/Virtuemart2/Speed (v4.2), etc. The next big thing we're shooting for is Open Graph actions for v4.3 later this summer. There will definitely be other features/fixes/improvements in that release, but not sure exactly what yet.

Hope that helps explain, and sorry we're not hitting your targets!

Sounds good, thanks Alex. Open Graph Actions would be an excellent addition! I'm excited to see JFBC progressing, it really is a top notch extension. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, Open Graph Actions is definitely the next 'big' feature we'll need as it's a hot thing for websites to do. Being able to have things like "Joe read this article at xyz" and "Joe cooked blah from xyz" into a user's timeline is both a) unobtrusive and b) great for promotion. It's finally a really good balance between wall posts (really, really obtrusive) and nothing. Glad Facebook added it. Going to be a real headache to implement it in a flexible way that it can be added by users or automatically added to certain extensions through plugins.

Like everything, it will evolve and get better, but the first rev should be a pretty good implementation (what we always shoot for). Won't be out for at least a month though, likely 2.

Thanks again for all the feedback!
Alex
