Topic-icon FB friend requests not awarding aup points upon seding requests!

Hello,

Just installed RapidSSL and setup JFBconnect and auto-tuned and setup request and installed aup rules and request are sent correctly but no aup points awarded!
I remember there were something to change in controllers/social.php code?

do we still need to do that?

I'm using JFBConnect 4.2.3
Joomla 2.5.6
Alpha User Points 1.7.3

You should not need to do that any longer as of JFBC v4.2.x. Is the user, when accepting the request, being redireced to the correct page on your site (as specified by the Request)? If you have your Canvas URL and Request URL set to the same URL, try switching the Request Destination URL to some other page so you can verify the user is properly being sent there.

If so, check that the Request is marked as Read in the admin area of JFBConnect. Finally, also check that the rule is published in AUP and that you've set a proper amount of points to award. Their logs may also help determine where points should have been awarded.

Hello Alex,
Well I tried all you suggestions but still not working, the redirect is working, request is marked as read, rule is published as well, and nothing in the logs of aup!
any other suggestions?
Is there any plugin that should be run with JFB plugins? that might be off maybe?

We didn't forget about you. Just got caught up with some other activities when Joomla 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 were released over the last few days.

As for your issue, yeah, not really sure what it could be. Haven't heard of that problem from users before. If you wouldn't mind Private Messaging us your super admin credentials, we'll gladly have a look. Also, please post the exact URL you have the Request configured on that you're using so that we're sure we're testing from the right page.

We'll let you know what we find!

As I was logging into the admin area of your site, I remembered the most obvious likely culprit.. In the Social -> Misc area of JFBConnect, there's a setting "Alpha User Points Integration". Yup, it was disabled.

I enabled it for you but did not test if Requests award points. Please try it out now and let us know.

We don't have a good guide for AUP integration.. something we obviously need to get done. Hopefully that's all it is for you, but if you still have issues, just let us know. If not, please disable the account you created for us.

I guess yes you should put sometime to have just a bit of documentation regarding this aup thing, for the future :)
