I originally was testing with a site url of signaturewines.us. I've updated the facebook app to my .com url. So, now it's, signaturewines.com
I also upgraded jfbc to 4.2.3 (site is J2.5).
I'm integrated with JomSocial.
It *used* to work fine. Now it seems it's a mess.
I'm now just trying to use the {JFBCLogin} option. I moved that that to the very bottom of the page in the copyright area so as not to confuse people. It's there for testing. I normally have it just to the right of my social icons at the top.

The new version of JFBConnect (v4.2) has an Error Checker built into it. When I run it on your page, it's showing that you have multiple inclusions of the Facebook Javascript library. That's likely the problem as it's being included 2 extra times, one for each Like button on your home page. Not only does that slow down the page for re-loading the same file 3 times (1x from JFBC, 2x from the other extension your using), it can cause issues with advanced features of Facebook like logging in since JFBConnect and the library need to initialized and setup very specifically to make everything work.

I'd highly recommend disabling the extra Like buttons and testing. If that works better, either replace them with the JFBConnect Like button or at least remove the re-inclusion of the Javascript library.

Hope that helps, but if not, let us know. Once the extra inclusions are gone, we can check for other common problems.

Thanks,
Alex

How do I tell where I have it configured? I had removed my JomSocial config of FB.
I do have FB configured for my jReviews app.

How can I figure out where the problems are? Thanks!

Okay, so, easyblog had an option to not load the scripts. I turned that off and now it shows as no errors. I still have the same issue. Can you take a look again?
I'll PM you my login credentials. Thanks!

I also reset all the settings to the recommended settings.
When you login with the connect option (currently at the bottom of the page), you have to hit refresh in order to show that you are logged in.
Thanks!

Teresa,
When I log in, if I'm using some tools, I see that my browser is simply being instructed to load the page from it's cached version. The cached version is the first page it saw, which was the logged out state.. and therefore, Joomla may think I'm logged in, but the browser still displays the logged out view.

Can you check if you are using the System - Cache plugin. If so, please try to disable it and test again. If that works, enable it but *disable* the "Use Browser Caching" option within it. That will prevent this type of problem. That option should not be enabled on sites where users are allowed to login.

Let us know if that helps, and good luck!
Alex

Well, I hadn't had that plugin enabled. I enabled it and set that option appropriately. It worked once, now I can't get it to work again. I cleared the cache and my browser cache.

(Also, when I do get it to work, I need it on the same line as I put it on withOUT a BR tag.)

Teresa,
I just added your termur account you've been using to post so you can post from either going forward and have the Active Subscription indicated on there.

As for the System - Cache plugin, I'd leave it disabled. It definitely isn't required, and while we're debugging, it's best to be disabled. I just looked around the front of your site some more and noticed you're using some RocketTheme stuff. If you have either the RokZipper or RokBooster plugins enabled, can you try disabling those. They have the same effect of caching the output of the page, and could be the problem. If disabling them works, we can help you determine more specific settings within each plugin to disable to get things going. That way, you'll still have the benefits of those plugins (which can increase performance slightly) while fixing the problems you're running into.

As for the line-return after the Privacy Policy line, that's not being done by JFBConnect. You're inserting the Privacy Policy in a <p> block, and then after that, adding the {JFBCLogin} tag. You'd want the {JFBCLogin} tag inside the p block for it to be on the same line.

Hope that helps, but keep us posted on any issues!

Thanks,
Alex

I was getting invalid token problems. After experimenting with a variety of cache settings and changes, at one point, I could get to the backend but got a white screen when I went to manage the RT template! Oi. So, I didn't panic too much. Went and turned on max error reporting and opened up the same page in Chrome instead of Firefox. Saw the errors, did some more googling for it. Saw a thread referencing a similar problem in Rockettheme. That recommendation was to change the general cache config from cachelite in the config file and general parameters to file. Well, mine was set to xcache so I changed it to file. However, my server permisssiona are a bit funky and then I had permission problems on the cache files (after a lot more debugging and problems). By changing to file cache I had to reset my group/owner from nobody to the account name and change permissions. That fixed a few things, but not all.

So, in doing more research, also read the Gantry change log on the brand new release of Gantry. One of the bug fixes was a clash between Joomla and Gantry cache. Okay. So, I backed everything up (again) and did the Gantry framework upgrade. I had turned off the system cache plugin. Cleared ALL the cache files which I previously had trouble clearing, but I didn't realize it was probably a symptom of the problem.

It worked fine for a few times. I was about to report success and now I'm back to the same problem with registration not taking on the first entry and invalid token problems.

I also forgot to say, thanks for combining my logins!

Also, I have the login tag before contained within a p-tag, but it puts the button in it's own div tag and puts it on a separate line.
