Hi. I've just bought Jfbconnect yesterday and integrated it with my joomla website. The main issue I'm having is that when you look at the config panel, it does think I have any JFBConnect Profile plugins currently enabled. We are using Community Builder 1.8 which as far as I know is the latest. What am I missing here?

Kit,
The profile plugins are found in a separate zip file within the main JFBConnect zip file you downloaded. Please unzip the jfbconnect_profile_plugins_xxx_unzip_first.zip file, find the community_builder plugin file and install it into Joomla. Then enable it.

JFBConnect doesn't automatically install the profile plugins for you. Additionally, please make sure that you do not install the other profile plugins, unless you have those extensions (like Kunena or K2 for example).

Thanks,
Alex

Aha. jfbconnect_profile_plugins_j1.7_j2.5_4.2_20120516.unzip_first.zip did not have everything when I downloaded it yesterday. Now when I open it, I see 6 zip files within, one of which is the community builder. I'm still not clear on what all the things in the main file are for.

This was the original file:

JFBConnect-4.2-Joomla17_Joomla25_20120516_unzip_first.zip

It contains:
alphauserpoints_v4.2.1.zip
com_jfbconnect_j2.5_v4.2.2.zip
jfbconnect_profile_plugins_j1.7_j2.5_4.2_20120516.unzip_first.zip
jfbconnect_social_modules_j1.7_j2.5_v4.2_20120502_unzip_first.zip

com_jfbconnect_j2.5_v4.2.2.zip is the main one we install in the extensions manager (page 1 of the configuration guide).

I don't really know what alphauserpoints_v4.2.1.zip is. It doesn't install and contains:
jfbconnect_aup_comment.xml
jfbconnect_aup_like.xml
jfbconnect_aup_request.xml

jfbconnect_profile_plugins_j1.7_j2.5_4.2_20120516.unzip_first.zip contains:
plg_community_jfbcjsactivity_j1.7_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip
plg_jfbcprofiles_communitybuilder_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip
plg_jfbcprofiles_jomsocial_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip
plg_jfbcprofiles_k2_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip
plg_jfbcprofiles_kunena_j2.5_v4.2.2.zip
plg_jfbcprofiles_virtuemart2_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip

jfbconnect_social_modules_j1.7_j2.5_v4.2_20120502_unzip_first.zip contains:
mod_jfbccomments_j2.5_v4.2.1.zip
mod_jfbcfan_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip
mod_jfbcfeed_j2.5_v4.2.0.zip

We're working on a revamped installer for the next big release which will clear up a ton of this confusion. Until then:
* If you don't have Alpha User Points installed (sounds like this is the case), don't worry about that zip file
* If you don't have any of those other profile_plugins installed, don't worry about them (JomSocial, Kunena, etc)

The social_modules, install the ones you want to use. You can see an example list of each of them on the page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/conf...h-the-sclogin-module

Hope that helps explain, but obviously, if you have other questions, just let us know!
