Hello
I am a new user and ran into some difficulties and irregularities after installing JFBConnect 4.2.2. My site is new and is now in beta, but I want to fix the problems so I can start an advertising campaign for him. I will describe the problems short as I did a brief video to see what the trouble spots. In my site i use Joomla 2.5.4, Joomsocial 2.6.1 and JFBConnect 4.2.2. PHP version is 5.2.17, MySQL 5.0.95.

1. I have red zones in an administrator panel, but everything is correct, I think.
2. My SSL sertificate is unstable with JFBConnect 4.2.2
3. JFBConnect not work with opera 11.64
4. When i publish new status, he can't be deleted by the user - delete button does not work correctly. When not in use JFBConnect, I have not this problem.

Please see the video, because it is easier to see problems. I expect to share how to correct deficiencies. Video is here:

Milko,
1) Not sure why Autotune is returning that error and not showing your site information on the overview page. That's actually not a huge deal since it seems like everything is setup correctly looking at your Autotune Settings and the fact that I can register/login to your site. So, we'll save that issue for later to try and fix the other problems first...

2) Can you try changing the "Facebook Language Locale Override:" in the Configuration -> Facebook API section of JFBConnect to "en_GB" and see if hovering over the Login With Facebook button changes the SSL message at the top still? If not, that would be a Facebook bug. We can submit it for you, but would like you to verify. We've never seen that before and it doesn't happen on this site (or others) we've tested.

3) Opera is very strict as far as standards and Javascript goes. Looking at your page, below the closing body tag at the very bottom, CometChat is adding more code. That violates HTML standards and since it's adding Javascript, that could easily be causing Opera to have issues. Also, do you have problems on this site with Opera? That will help narrow down the cause.

Additionally, when I try to login on your site, in the Opera Error Console is the following message:

Opera has modified the JavaScript on www.facebook.com (facebook: work around Opera's too strict origin checks on https for https -> http(s) other site -> h...). See browser.js for details User Javascript thread

Opera has Facebook specific code to work around some integration issues with their browser and Facebook authentication. At times, this means that when Facebook updates their Javascript library (which happens pretty often), it breaks some features on Opera until they update their workarounds. Unfortunately, there's not anything we can do to fix these issues as that's an Opera/Facebook issue and not something we can work-around.

4) Finally, I'm not sure why you can't delete posts. If you disable the JFBCSystem plugin, does that allow you to delete posts? If you change the JomSocial template, does that change the behavior? Do you have the JFBConnect - JomSocial Post To Wall plugin enabled? If so, try disabling it.
We tested on a JomSocial 2.6 site and couldn't recreate your problem, and haven't heard of it before, so it's definitely strange. It's also possible the extra Cometchat code at the bottom of your HTML is interfering as well.

Hope that all helps get you started,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I have filled your recommendations, but they did not provide the required result.
The results are the following points:
1. - I will not comment on the red areas will assume that the software indicates the wrong
2. - I tried the options to change the template of jomsocial and had no effect on them. When I changed bg_BG to en_EN not showing the login button but its text. I tried with an empty field, the result is the same (bg_BG), the certificate is recognized as a non-secure connection.
3. - I removed the code from the template cometchat to not boot, Opera still does not load the site entrance
4. - The opinions of the wall have no idea why the decision and will open it.

NOW, i have problem with login if i using Google chrome! Please look at my installed software for the site and tell me if you think there is any contradiction with any component. Thanks in advance.

I made your account with super administrator privileges. I have sent your password to access the admin area of your email.

1) After we figure everything out, if you want to diagnose the problems on the overview page, we'll gladly help figure out those issues if interested. Nothing there should cause any functional problems with JFBConnect.
2) The language en_EN is invalid. You should try en_GB or en_US. If you use an invalid language, no Facebook library will be loaded, which will cause the button not to show.
However, I just tried on your site again and I'm not seeing the same problem anymore. Facebook pushed out an update earlier today and a fix for that problem may have been included. Please try again.
3) Another option that may work in Opera for you (as well as fixing the SSL issue) is to use a custom image for the Login with Facebook button. To do so, edit the JomSocial template and use the following HTML instead of the {JFBCLogin} tag:
<a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="jfbc.login.login_custom();"><img src="http://yoursite.com/linktoimage.jpg" /></a>
Hopefully, that helps clear up some of those issues.
4) Still unsure of the commenting issue or what you tried. Have you tried disabling the JFBCSystem or JFBConnect JSActivity plugin and commenting to see if that helped delete comments?

I'll be able to look into the admin area of the site tomorrow afternoon. Feel free to poke around beforehand and see if any of the above helps.

Thanks,
Alex

Milko,
Just wanted to let you know that Facebook definitely did push a Javascript update today that's altering the authentication function. There's been multiple bugs submitted (to them) regarding strange looks of the button as well as incorrect behavior. On your site, I'm now getting a message that says "Group.bg would also like permission to:
You have already logged into urbansitter. Click Okay to proceed" when I try to login if I'm already logged into Facebook. The bug report on Facebook about this is below and I've already commented about the problem I'm seeing on your site:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/256345417806493

Not sure if other visitors would run into this issue or if it's just me, but wanted to let you know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I temporarily removed the login button through facebook. I will continue to test to find out what is causing the problem. I plan in the next 2-3 days to install a clean version of joomla, jomsocial and all other components one by one to see if a component causing errors. When I'm ready, I'll write again.

Special greetings,
Milko Milkov

Milko,
Sounds good and definitely keep us posted. Hopefully, you can narrow down some of the issues more. It's unfortunate that Facebook introduced some bugs yesterday with their latest Javascript update. This happens every few months (and lasts about a day each time), but not fun when you're working on other issues as well.

Good luck, and we'll help however we can!

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I finished my testing on a clean instalation of joomla 2.5.4, jomsocial 2.6.1 and jfbconnect 4.2.2. The results are as follows:
1. The red zones do not appear - accept these errors local to me
2. SSL problem is solved when using the code who you publish - button to load from a local image.
3. The problem with deleting status was in jomsocial. When I'm with administrator everything is fine, but when I log in as a registered user, jomsocial not delete statuses. Sorry that I misled the problem is due to the installation of jfbconnect. I had not encountered this problem before.
4. The problem with OPERA 11.64 remains topical. Apparently not due to lateral components. Opera does not even enter through jbconnect absolutely clean installation without any plugins and components. I would expect your tests and solution to this problem

I hope I was helpful with this information

Milko,
Glad to hear it sounds like the first 3 function issues are fixed, one way or the other.

For the Opera problem, that's a Facebook bug and there's nothing we'll be able to do about it. It seems to affect only a few sites, unfortunately including yours. The bug report for this problem is below:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/375724722475346
I'd recommend you go to that page and use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link. Input the information about your site, that you're using Opera and any other details you may have. Then, I'd suggest commenting in the bottom area as well just to say "I'm affected as well". The more people that report this as an issue to Facebook, the higher priority it will get and the sooner it will get fixed.

Sorry that there's nothing we can do, and hopefully, Facebook will fix the issue soon.

Thanks,
Alex
