On a sidenote:
I get no "reds" in autotune, and no errors on the error checker either

I have set log-in menu item as well as the "login" modules to be visible only for guests, and have created a logout menu item and "log-out" copies of the modules only visible for logged in users.

Did some more testing:
When trying to log on using facebook i don't get logged in on my website, but i do get logged into Facebook.
Now, clicking the log in using Facebook button over and over, nothings happens.
However, if I refresh the page and click th ebutton again i get logged in to my site (while already being logged in on facebook)

I really need to get this working regardless the situation the user is in when he hits log in...
Thank you for any assistance you can provide in resolving this

Erwin,
I was testing earlier today and I could easily reproduce your problem. However, I was just trying and I couldn't anymore. Are you still having this problem? It's possible it was just a fleeting error on Facebook's part, but if you're still having problems, let us know.

One thing I did run into now (that I wasn't earlier) was when I click the logout button, I was redirected to the page below:
index.php/en/component/users/?view=login
which was giving the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function init() on a non-object in /home/blinx/domains/xxxxxxx.com/public_html/templates/rt_halcyon/html/com_users/login/default_login.php on line 15

I don't think that's caused by JFBConnect, but thought you should know so you can look into it.

Let us know how it's going,
Alex

Hello Alex,

I have been playing around with settings and did manage to get rid of some of the issues. Unfortunately I was unable to pinpoint which exact combination of settings was causing issues in the JFBConnect login.
However, having the logout button log me out of Facebook and Joomla definitely caused issues. I now have it set to log me out of just Joomla.

Now, part of the problem is still occuring:
When logging in to the website, without being logged in to either Facebook or Joomla, the Facebook login button conects me to facebook (in the background), does not return any errors, but then just stays on the login page without logging me in to Joomla. Clicking the facebook login button over and over does not do anything, I have to refresh the page first and then I can click the login button again to be logged into Joomla.

Now for the even more interesting part :
Doing the same as above : not logged in to joomla, not logged in to Facebook, click the login using facebook button. provide credentials. I am being logged in on facebook in the background, but again not in joomla. Again, clicking the login to facebook button does not do anything. This time instead of refreshing my joomla page, I open a facebook window and log out of facebook on the facebook website.
Now I return to joomla and hit the login using facebook button again. I get the popup to provide my facebook credentials, and put them in there and click ok.
Now, I get an error message! I click ok on the error message, and facebook opens in the login popup - I am not logged in to Joomla.

Can you have a look at these two situations? Thank you
Erwin

Alex,
Can you have a look at this?
Unless we can resolve this I can not go live using JFBConnect...
Thank you!
Best regards
Erwin

Erwin,
Sorry for the delay. Can you try switching to a different template, temporarily, and see if that helps the issue? With your current template, there is a Javascript error when the page loads on the Login page:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'child_height' of undefined -- gantry-splicemenu.js:80
I have no idea if that's related, but it's my best guess for now. If you can switch to Beez5 to test and see if that fixes the problem, it will narrow down the possible solutions quite a bit.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Unfortunately that is not the cause of the issue. The javascript error is new (we are testing some other things on a new module).
Anyway, I have added a menu point that will open the JFBConnect Facebook login in the Beez template.
Exact same symptoms as I described :
When logging in to the website, without being logged in to either Facebook or Joomla, the Facebook login button conects me to facebook (in the background), does not return any errors, but then just stays on the login page without logging me in to Joomla. Clicking the facebook login button over and over does not do anything, I have to refresh the page first and then I can click the login button again to be logged into Joomla.

Now, I get an error message! I click ok on the error message, and facebook opens in the login popup - I am not logged in to Joomla.

Thanks for having a go at this

Hello Alex,
Any updates on this? We are getting closer to our launch date, so I'm starting to get worried.
The problem can be consistently reproduced...
If there is anything I can do for you to help you with debugging this please let me know. If useful I can give you admin rights.
Thank you
Erwin
