Questions asked upon Facebook connect action

Do you mean the permissions that are asked of the user in the Facebook login popup, or the registration fields for your site?

For the registration fields, please install the JFBConnect - JomSocial profile plugin in the profiles zip file that is part of JFBConnect. Enable that in the plugin manager, and then configure it in the "Profiles" section of JFBConnect. You can select there to have all, required, or no JomSocial fields show during registration. You can setup information to automatically be imported into JomSocial from Facebook.

That's correct. If you want to test yourself, you can always delete the row for yourself from the "User Map" area of JFBConnect. That will put you back to the Login / Register page of JFBConnect if you hit the Login With Facebook button again. Once there, you can check the fields are showing how you want, but use the left-hand side of the form to log into an existing Joomla account instead of creating a new one.

I'd honestly recommend going through the full registration process though. Better for you to find issues than for someone else too.
