Hi,
We have a problem with articles without images, they seem to grab banner pictures on the page as sharing thumbnail on facebook.
The site is running joomla 2.5 with JFBConnect 4.2.2. site: www.maloalo.no

Also when i test an random article i get this error on developers.facebook.com/tools/debug:
Errors That Must Be Fixed
More Than One OG URL Specified: Object at URL 'www.maloalo.no/side/index.php/historier/...istorier-i-balsfjord' of type 'article' is invalid because it specifies multiple 'og:url' values: www.maloalo.no/side/index.php/historier/...istorier-i-balsfjord, www.maloalo.no/side/index.php/historier/...istorier-i-balsfjord.

And it shows no og:image tag

Can you help us with this issue?

Viggo,
There are multiple og:url (and other) tags on that page. If you open the HTML, you'll see 2 sets of tags. The first group is not from JFBConnect, the 2nd group is. Having 2 sets is bad, as you can see from the debug tool.

As for articles without images, I'd recommend setting a "Default" image in the Open Graph area of JFBConnect, like:
image=http://site.com/link-to-logo.jpg
Whatever you put there will be the 'fallback' image for all your pages, incase an image isn't specified.

Finally, on pages without an image, you can still use the {SCOpenGraph image=http://site.com/image-for-article.jpg} tag to specify an image for that page, even if the article doesn't have that image.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Nice Alex!
Thanks for your fast respond.
You were right, we had two plugins doing the same thing.. I uninstalled the other one, and now everything is ok.
I wasn't aware of the 2 days caching of the images at facebook.
Reading the html coding on the page and using the developers tool (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) helped me figure out this issue.
Thanks for your exclellent support!

No problem for the help, or the quick support. It's what we do. The Debug Tool actually clears/updates Facebook's cache, so that's a good way to check immediately and get things going on some critical pages.

Either way, glad you're going. Should you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory for JFBConnect, or our support. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated!

Thanks,
Alex
