Same problem here. Can't log in with Facebook. The Facebook login window appears, but the JFBC "logging in" popup does not appear, the Login with Facebook button disappears but I have not been logged in. Happens in both Firefox and Chrome (didn't test in IE since I'm on Ubuntu).

I think you're right. FB has been very erratic lately. The login button graphic gets messed up from time to time, the FB Like buttons have been on and off lately, RSS Graffitti is totally messed up while upgrading to the new 2.0. I also had a CSS issue a couple of weeks ago due to a change in the FB Like button. Lots of headaches from FB lately, but this one is bad. Renders a site unusable for those who rely on FB logins for their traffic.

Yup, it's a bug. We're in the process of reporting it now.

What we're seeing:
* If a user visits your page and is already logged into Facebook, but button does not appear (you see a loading indicator quickly)
* If you aren't logged into Facebook, the button appears and should log you in normally after you use it to log you into Facebook.

Please let us know if you see different behavior. We will post back here once we have the bug report for Facebook finished so that you can say "Me too" to it to increase it's priority.

Thanks,
Alex

Just submitted the bug report. Please use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link (Click Yes) and put in your details.
developers.facebook.com/bugs/386085844776949

Leaving a comment is good too if you have more information, but the Yes link is critical to get Facebook's attention.

Thanks, and please keep this thread, or the bug report, updated with anything you find.

I just "signed" the bug report.

Must clarify that if I am not logged in to FB, and I click on the JFBC Login with Facebook button, I am NOT logged in to the site.

Ludwig,
It seems that FB isn't triggering some of the things it normally does when a user clicks the FB button (that JFBC relies on).

However, if you enable "Automatically Login Facebook Users" within JFBConnect's Login/Logout area, it helps work-around this issue.

That's because:
1) It will log users in using an alternate method that seems to be working
2) It also seems to be working if a user visits your page that has already approved your app by simply logging them in, instead of 'hiding' the button from them.

If you already have seen the blank button though, you may need to clear your cookies and browser cache for the auto-login to work.

It's not the optimal solution, obviously, but it's something you can use for now to help the situation. Please let us know you're experiences, and thanks for 'signing' the report!

You are right. That did alleviate the situation quite a bit. Thanks for keeping on top of the issue.
