Hi! First of all: my congrats for this killer component. Saved tons of hours of work!
I installed and setup without issue the component, the only issue I encounter is related to the function that automatically creates meta tags for fb.
The issue regards just the

With auto-function enabled, I can see that meta property correctly displayed into page html source. However the picture is always wrong.
Inspecting the page with developers.facebook.com/tools/debug, I encountered this error:
Inferred Property: The 'og:image' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Facebook crawlers omit the og:image!
The version is the last one. I sent some links in PVT for your better comprehension.
Thanks!

Antonio,
The Open Graph image property can be automatically added to the page on Joomla and K2 Content pages. We do this by selecting the first image in the article and setting that as the Open Graph image.

For other components, however, or special pages like "Home" which aren't necessarily associated with just one article (it's usually a blog view), you'll want to add the following tag either inside an article or a Custom HTML module:
{SCOpenGraph image=http://site.com/link-to-image.jpg}
Additionally, in the Social -> Open Graph area of JFBConnect, you can add a site-wide default image for pages that aren't getting an Open Graph image set. This is good to set a logo or other image representing your site generically. In the defaults box, simply add:
image=http://site.com/link-to-default.jpg

Hope that helps,
Alex

yeah I am interested in automatic "first picture". In fact all the links I sent you via private message refer to an article, and not other components.
an article with an image inside. the facebook debug issue refer to the auto-added og:image meta information.
I need that function to work properly, please can you give it a check?
Thanks, Antonio

In the Social -> Open Graph tab of JFBConnect, there is a setting for "Use first image in article for default". Make sure that's enabled. That should be all you need, and JFBConnect should add the images automatically, if that's not the case, let us know.

Some other things to note:
* If you have a Content plugin or something else that's actually inserting the image, make sure that is ordered *before* the JFBCContent plugin
* If some other extension is adding the image (it's not a part of the article text itself), let us know what you're using.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi! Yes, the option is correcty settled. To add images, we use a WYSIWYG editor called JCE. but this editor does not add anything rather than <img> on article's HTML.
There are lots of components and plugins working on the portal (as many Joomla websites), but other <meta descriptions> that Your extension pass (such as url, and title) are correctly interpreted by Facebook. Only issue the image.
Maybe you can take a look to the links I sent you in PVT, i can provide you full admin access to the website if needed.
I absolutely need that functions of "og:image auto-compile", as our is a blog news, I cannot overlay with a simple general image, and sometimes people that write articles aren't so good with html. :o)
Thanks for support, Antonio
PS in the meanwhile I will try to play with plugin orders, who knows...thanks!

Antonio,
Sorry for the delay. I'm unsure what would be preventing the image from being automatically detected. Is it possible to Private Message us an admin account for your site to debug further? If not, we understand, and will try to come up with other possible causes.

Thanks,
Alex

You have all the data in pvt, let me know if you have news.
Please consider that we are going to launch the portal for production, but actually we are blocked because as you can imagine a news blog is not usable if every refer to content shows wrong pic (staring from reccomentations, to likes, to shares, and so on...unusable at the moment).
Thanks,
Antonio
