I'm getting an error message when I try to login to my website using my FB account. Then I get logged in to FB. When I downclick the FB window, I get a another error message saying there could be a servor or configuration error. When I go to my website anyway, I'm logged in through my FB account!?

If this is a configuration error, what could it be?

Thanks,
Janet

Janet,
Not sure off-hand. Can you let us know the website you're having issues with so we can look into it further?

Thanks,
Alex

Janet,
When I try to login, I see a blank white page. That's usually an indication of a PHP error on the page. Can you set Error Reporting to "maximum" in the Global configuration area of Joomla? Then, either try to login, or let me know, and I can login (if you don't see a similar problem). A more useful error message will hopefully appear.

Either way, another thing to look at that can be a common problem, is to disable any JFBC Profile plugins that you may have enabled that aren't necessary. For instance, if you have the JFBC Profile - JomSocial plugin enabled, but don't have JomSocial installed, disable that plugin. Do that for any profile plugins you may have enabled, and that may clear up your issue as well.

Let us know how that goes,
Alex

I set the error reporting to maximum. This is the message I got when I tried to log in again:

Janet,
Thanks for the error message. That error is indicating that you have the JFBConnect - Profiles - Community Builder plugin enabled, but our plugin can't find Community Builder installed. Please disable that plugin (and any other JFBConnect - Profiles - xxx plugins you have enabled for extensions that aren't installed) and that should clear up your problem.

Thanks,
Alex

Hmmm--it works now, but not when I disabled it before! Oh well, I've pushed so many buttons trying to get stuff to work, I've probably made a few fumbles. So thanks for helping me to figure that out. Also, thanks for getting FB to fix our disappearing comment box problem in a timely fashion!

Hehe.. gremlins will get you every time.

No problem for the help, and glad we have such great clout with Facebook to make them do our bidding... yeah.. that's what it is.

Finally, hopefully you're all setup now, but if you run into anything else, just let us know. Also, when you've played with JFBConnect a while, please consider leaving a rating and review for it or our support on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated:

Thanks, and good luck,
Alex
