Hi.
I´m using latest version of joomla and K2. I enabled jfbconnect like and send button on bottom of every K2 article.
The problem i´m having now is that the send button shows when page is loading but after page loads the button disappears. Everything fine with like button.

Is this a known problem?

I had that problem on another website, just tried a new installation and the problem remains.

We just launched the 4.2 version of JFBConnect, which slows down response times a little while we got that out the door.

There are a few possible causes for the problem you mention. Can you let us know what version of Joomla, JFBConnect, and K2 you are using? Also, if you can link to a page with the problem, that makes diagnosing problems much easier.

Finally, please post from the account you subscribed to JFBConnect from. Priority support is for subscribers only.

This is happening even on Facebook's Developer page for the Like button:

developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/

Just set the Layout Style to Button_count in the style selector widget and watch what happens to the example Like button. The Send button immediately goes *poof*. I noticed today that the Send button on my blog was doing the same thing and I checked into it. The problem has undoubtedly been caused by something Facebook did server-side.

Hi Alex,

I'm using 4.2 and the Send button disappears when using Firefox 10.x and Chrome 18.x. It works fine in IE 8 and Opera 11.x. Any ideas?

Is FB going to fix this issue, or will JFBC need a tweak to fix the problem? This has been going on for over a week now and we're getting questions from customers about when it will be resolved! Any updates appreciated.

This looks to be completely a Facebook issue. Since it's happening on Facebook's own demonstration page, which has nothing to do with JFBConnect, that means it's on their end. There's nothing we can do to get around a bug that's within Facebook itself.

A bug was just reported earlier today by another Facebook user:

If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link and give information about your page.

Hope that helps. This issue isn't affecting everyone, and we haven't been able to determine what's common between the sites that have the problem. Hopefully, the bug report form above will help Facebook narrow down the cause or get a common solution.
