Alex

I recently puchased this - www.techjoomla.com/socialads.html?view=xml as its an essential part of the monetization for my website.

However when i install it i get the following errors
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Another menu item with the same parent has this alias
Error building Admin Menus

The only menu item i can find with the word social in it is your jfbconnect componant. Have notified techjoomla.

Have you any suggestions as i REALLY want to be able to use both your componants.

I can't imagine they're using the same name as us. That error actually sounds like their package isn't working, either because it's meant for another version of Joomla or something else (it needed to be unzipped first, etc).

Let us know what you find, but I don't think there's really any conflict there.

Hello Philip,
as Alex mentioned, looking at the extensions website (FAQ) you can see the package includes several extensions in it.
Therefore you must extract the extensions first, and then try installing them.

Was a new release they sent me and was a package file that didnt require to be unzipped.

Glad to hear its not a conflict with your menu items.

Apparently it was a problem caused by an old installation that did not remove the menu items after i installed the wrong version and tried to install a new one.

Thanks for the update. Figured it wasn't JFBConnect :)

Best of luck,
