JFBConnect and JLinked not creating JomSocial user after user accepts connection with either facebook or linkedin. After they accept, they are routed to a screen asking them if they already have an account or to create one. I thought this would automatically create the account for them when they signup?

Where exactly are the FB/LinkedIn Login buttons (causing the problem)?

If you click on register you are routed to Jomsocial profile create. At the bottom the the page I placed the tags for facebook and linkedin. If you click on one of those it routes you to either facebook or linkedin to accept the oauth. Once that is complete the system is taking you to a screen where it is asking if you have already have an account or need to create one. I would assume that it would just create a new account and log you in after doing the oauth. Is that incorrect assumption?

when accessing the registration page, you can see there is a JS error stating:
You must specify a valid JavaScript API Domain as part of this key's configuration.
www.linkedin.com/uas/js/userspace?v=0.0....apiKey=3bes1o2uvnzz& (line 11).
something seems to be wrongly configured.

I suggest turning off LinkedIn for now, see if FB works, and then go into fixing LinkedIn issues.

Ok got that error to go away. It was due to the java domain not being configured on linkedin's website.

I am getting this same issue with Facebook and Linkedin. They both act the same. Any other suggestions?

rrader26,
For JFBConnect, you can set the User Creation mode to "Facebook User Only". That will automatically create the user account without any forms for the user.

LinkedIn does not allow fetching the user's email address. So, with JLinked, the user has to go through the registration process so that they can fill out their email address. There's no way around it, unfortunately.

Hope that explains,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I had this same issue with Facebook as well? My wife last night signed up with Facebook and was routed to the screen to create an account or sign in with an existing account? Why wouldnt it create a new account and log her in?

Can you tell us what setting you have for "User Creation"? If it's Full Joomla User, that's the correct process. If you want to skip that registration page, you should set it to "Facebook User Only".
