Topic-icon FBConnect button on popup module positions

Sorry to ask this if has already been answered, but couldn't find anything about it

In the past, if you assigned sclogin to a popup module position (like in RT templates login or popup), the FBconnect button did nothing as it has to do another modal, blablabla

Has this been fixed anyway or found any workaround?

Also, jomsocial fbconnect (crappy) allows for js wall updates to be pushed to fb, can I understand the jswall plugin does same? if I write in JS wall it gets to fb?
But not the other way around no?

Regards

Johnny,
1) The new SCLogin module (with JFBConnect) has a line of code that you can un-comment which will let it work with popup modules. You'll need to either supply your own image, or use a standard text link for the Login With Facebook button, but other than that, it should work fine in popups now.
2) The JSPostToWall plugin (included with JFBConnect) will post a user's JomSocial status to their Facebook wall like you're looking for.

JFBConnect has had the ability to import a users Facebook status to their JomSocial wall for a few years now. That status will be pulled in whenever they login to your site.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Awesome, been waiting for that ;) but, will it work also with people logged that has not attached a fb account? there are two files login.php and logout.php, I suppose line will not be same for both no?

About jomsocial and walls, I may be brong, but I do believe that js is able to pull fb status updates to your site, at least the moment it syncs, I understand JFBConnect doesn't do that yet no?

Johnny,
Not sure what files you're looking at. The SCLogin module was just released and wouldn't have been part of the files from your subscription that expired in August. We can gladly help you update things however you need when you update to the latest JFBConnect.

For the JomSocial updates, I'm honestly not sure how they do it. There is a way to subscribe to updates for a user so that it happens automatically. It's something we're working on and hoping to have in the next release.

Thanks,
Alex
