Hi,
Since the page is not official I will send more information to the person that can help me out.
I have added the facebook button to the homepage at the default jomsocial page. When trying to connect with this button there should "normally" be a popup that asks the user for some permission, like getting profile information.
When I'm logged in at facebook and press the facebook button on our site a popup appears for a second and then the page is redirected to:
*/component/jfbconnect/?view=loginregister&return=Lw== (picture will be sent)
If I'm not logged in to facebook the popup, login(picture will be sent), appears and after login I gets redirected to the same registration page.

I would like to have the popup requesting the user to accept the permissions instead of redirecting to the other page.
I believe there is some settings that I have done wrong but I can not find how to change this.

Hello,
this seems to be like a cache issue, where for the connected FB user you have already approved the requested permissions.
please try this from a different browser and also if possible with a different connected FB User.

if that doesn't help, please provide us a link to the website so we could see the problem.

I haven't tried to login to your site yet, but a few points I want to clarify:

The login box appearing and dissappearing indicates 2 things:
1) You are already logged into Facebook in another tab
2) The user that's logged into has already 'approved' the Application
In this case, there's nothing for the popup to show. It will just tell JFBConnect the user is 'connected'.

Once JFBConnect sees a user is connected, it will try to log them in (if an account has already been created for that user). If no account exists, JFBConnect will either create one automatically (if the User Creation setting is "Facebook User Only") or it will send them to the URL you posted above so they can create an account and choose their own username (User Creation setting of "Full Joomla User").

So, it sounds like everything's good, but you want to change the User Creation setting to avoid that Login/Register page.
