There really isn't a way to do what you're looking for. The Subscribe module/button is only for subscribing to updates from a specific User's profile. So that won't work for subscribing to your blog layout.

The Like button is a way for a user to say they Like a page of your site, not for them to get updates about that page. Normally, when you configure JFBConnect to show the Like button in a category view, there will be a Like button for each article in that view. When the user clicks in, they will be Liking that specific article, not the category list of articles (the current page they may be looking at).

We can help you to add a Like button to just the category listing page so that user's will Like that page. However, that will not automatically notify them when new articles are posted.. it will simply show up in their Facebook stream when they first Like it.

Hope that makes sense. We'd love it if Facebook had a way to let user's subscribe to content, like you're asking, but unfortunately, they don't.
