Yes, that would definitely be the problem. All Facebook Requests are initially sent to your canvas application. From there, JFBConnect redirects them to the 'final' location. That's how Facebook works, and there's no way around that.
We're still finishing up the full documentation for the Canvas and Requests setup, but it will detail how to get each setup properly. The Canvas App really just requires a SSL certificate installed (so you can visit your site at
site.com) and a destination set within your Facebook Application. If you want to get Requests going, I'd suggest working on getting the SSL certificate and then we can help you with the Canvas portion, if you have any questions.
