Hello,

I have uploaded to screenshots identifying the issue. The issue is that even though I am currently not logged into facebook, JFBConnect will log me into joomla using the credentials. See the screeshots

I just tried to register on the site, and I'm getting a Fatal error from our Kunena Profile plugin. Is that enabled? If so, is Kunena installed? If not, please disable that plugin.

That's not the cause of the problem you're having though. Facebook uses Javascript to set a cookie in the user's browser to identify them. It seems that there's a bug in Facebook, introduced in the last few days, where the cookie is not properly destroyed when the user logs out. We're waiting to get a response from Facebook on the issue.

In the meantime, to the 2 other user's who have reported a similar issue, we've recommended checking your Facebook Application settings. Make sure the Site URL and Domain look are set as follows:
Site URL: tickerpickerpro.com/ (or tickerpickerpro.com/joomlatest/)
Domain: tickerpickerpro.com
If those settings are incorrect, then Facebook may not be able to delete the cookie properly, and that would be the cause of the problem.

Alternatively, in the meantime, you can also disable the automatic login function, though I understand that may not be how you want your site to operate.

Hope that helps,
Alex

I disabled the plugin on tickerpickerpro.com/joomlatest and now it works, however, we didn't have this issue yesterday when we didn't install kunena on tickerpickerpro.com. Our web master has assured me that the two sites can cross reference each other but as a programmer I am quite skeptical. Could this be the cause of the kunena plugin bug you have identified?

We are about to install JFBConnect on the live site (tickerpickerpro.com), have all the install issues been solved version 4.0? I just want to double check incase it bricks the site.

Michael,
I'm not sure what you mean by "the two sites can cross reference each other"... JFBConnect is meant to be run on one Joomla site at a time. If you're using a multi-site solution, that should work.. but if each 'site' (main site, subdomain, subfolder) runs it's own Joomla site/has it's own database, you'd need to do some extra work to make JFBConnect import into 'other' Joomla/Kunena profiles. Hope that makes sense.

As for the install issues being solved, the v4.1.1 version of JFBConnect will be released in a few hours. That fixes the issues you encountered in the other thread. I'm not sure of any other install issues. In general though, we'd recommend installing the main component only, at first. Configure it and get it working. Then install and configure any of the optional profile plugins that may work for your site.

Of course, if you run into issues, just let us know... and good luck!

v4.1.1 was released last night, in case you haven't checked yet.

If you run into any issues, definitely let us know. This was a minor bug-fix release for some of the issues found in 4.1.0 and shouldn't cause any unforeseen problems.

Best of luck,
Alex
