I did some quick searching but couldn't find the remedy for this error.
Note: I can see the user is registered and when they log in a 2nd time it's fine

I did re-install JFBConnect - Profiles - Community Builder

thanks

It sounds like you have the JFBConnect profile plugin for Community Builder installed, but that Community Builder isn't installed. Disable the profile plugin, and any other profile plugins you might have enabled without the corresponding 3rd party extension installed as well.

Hope that gets you going, but if not (or you have CB installed, and it's still throwing that error), just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks again for the quick response.

What I ended up doing was to install CB so it would at least create a diretory then from finding some other of your old posts here I went and found the default page and removed echo $versionChecker->_showVersionInfoRow('jfbcprofiles.communitybuilder', 'plugin');

I decided to go with JFB last minute (since we're launching tomorrow morning) and this seemed to be the most powerful/best option.

Off-thread, but the one thing that my testers have come across is after they register through FB, they get another page to fill additional information, and some ppl don't want to do that extra step (create username and pwd) is there a way to bypass that page?

Hope that cleared up your issue with CB, but if not, let us know. I couldn't be certain from what you posted, but it sounded like it.

Regarding the login page, there's no way to skip it once you're on it. If you want every user to bypass it (as is done on this site), you can set the "User Creation" setting to "Facebook User Only". If you have it as "Full Joomla User", that short registration form will always display. However, you can hide the email address field (since it's imported from Facebook) with one of the config settings, leaving just username and password to be filled in. Hopefully, one of those options is acceptable for your needs.

Finally, we are the best :D Hope you're happy with your choice, even with a few stumbling blocks along the way. Good luck with your launch tomorrow!

Yes, everything did work out.

And thanks for the help on that page - like I mentioned, in a bit of a rush so not a lot of time to go through all the detailed settings.

I don't really consider those stumbling blocks - a couple little hiccups is what I was expecting, but you were right on top of them. But everything is working smoothly now and later I'll have the time to really customize the needs without having to bother you.

Once I get launched I'll make sure give you a good review in the joomla directory!

Thanks again.

Pete,
Whatever slows me down is a stumbling block.. regardless of the cause :)

Either way, very happy to hear we could get you going, glad it went pretty smoothly, and really hope your launch goes well. Crunch time is always a blast, we know.

When you get the chance, we'd definitely love it if you'd consider leaving a review.

Thanks,
Alex

Just an update - so far so good - and I gave you a 5star review on joomla extensions

Off-topic but how do I remove demo user as the default?

Thanks

Pete,
Glad to hear things are working out well for you now. Also, thanks for the review, we definitely appreciate it.

As for the demo user as the default, I'm honestly not sure what you mean. Can you explain a little bit more what you're looking to do?

Thanks,
Alex
