Tom,
Facebook is a little confusing with some of it's terminology, as things are named similarly. We support the Open Graph protocol, which are tags to describe pages from your site. These tags are used when a user takes an action on your page, for instance, Like'ing, commenting or sharing a page.
We don't currently push objects to the Open Graph, which is a relatively new feature of Facebook. The Open Graph that you reference is similar to how Farmville, or other apps, will push events from your site to a user's stream/timeline. There are events that we're looking into adding, but each open graph event is unique to the application/site that the event takes place on. These all would need to be defined per site, to make them unique, and aren't a simple drop-in thing for us to do. For more information about the flow and use of Open Graph updates, see:
developers.facebook.com/docs/beta/opengraph/
Hope that explains, but if you have any other questions, just let us know!
