Not an error on your part. You shouldn't have ever received a white page, as that's a PHP error, and not something that should ever make it into release code (and rarely does from us), but it happens.
Glad we got you figured out though. The notifications I added are in the /components/com_jfbconnect/controllers/loginregister.php file. Specifically, in the login() function. I can remove these for you as well (just let me know), but the ones I added are:
There was an error creating your account.
User Id not set. We can't log you in. Please try again.
The other (email is registered) is part of our normal releases.
