Joomla1.7 and FBC 4.0.1 new user account creat, No data access recorde

You're using some other extension for Facebook on your page. If you open the HTML and search for "all.js", the Facebook Javascript library, you'll see a reference to it in the header section. Also, if you search for FB.Init, there's a whole block toward the bottom of the page that's incorrectly initializing the Facebook library. We're using the new Oauth2 method, required by Facebook in October, and the 2nd initiziation is enabling the 'old' method, which would prevent all of our code from working.

The other extension will need to be disabled, or removed. Please let us know if we can help, but let us know what it is, as I'm not familiar with it.

I'm still seeing the code being inserted into the page. Can you tell me how it doesn't work when you disable Gavick's integration, or disable it for me to see and test what's happening?

The reason it worked before is because we were using the 'old' authentication method, which Gavick appears to still be using. If they are forcing that code into the template, both of our extensions will not work together.

If you want to send me the template, you're free to. Our address is support @ sourcecoast.com We'll do what testing we can, but it will be with all of the Gavick Facebook integration features turned off.

Thanks for the template. Their template will actually strip out any Facebook, Twitter, Google +1, and multiple other social buttons if the social integration of the template isn't enabled. This is like if JFBConnect were to remove any CSS files from the template, because it didn't want them there, and obviously, not the right thing to do.

You can manually remove this functionality by removing calls to the code in their /templates//lib/gk.framework.php file and searching for "Clear FB Like" and removing the line after that.

I'd highly, highly recommend you contact Gavick on how to remove that functionality, without having to hack code, and let them know that you want to use other Facebook (or other Social) extensions, as they are intentionally crippling your ability to do so.

Hope this helps, but if you run into any other issues with their template and JFBConnect, it will likely have to be fixed on Gavick's end.

Posting content (articles, K2 items) back to Facebook is something we're looking into. Now that 4.0 is out, and mostly gone smoothly, we're starting to look into scoping out 4.1 and 4.2. Pretty sure that posting back will be in one of those releases. If you have any example code or things you've got working, we'd love to hear about it!
