Which files to download for J1.7 and jomsocial?

You would definitely want the main component which works for 1.6/1.7. However, the profile plugin for JomSocial isn't officially supported for 1.7 yet because JomSocial has not officially stated that they support 1.7. We've done some testing, and things seem 'ok', but it's hard for us to integrate with another extension that hasn't been given the stamp of approval by their developers.

So, main component - get. Profile plugins - get and try the JomSocial addon. The additional JomSocial download is an addon to push status updates made on JomSocial to Facebook. We need to clarify that better, but it was just released.
