Hi there!
I'll be doing the upgrade from v5 to v6 myself, since our IT guy is missing in action. The "Joomla Extension Manager: Update" gives me an error (403 - ACCESS FORBIDDEN) not suprisingly. Is ugrading so simple as to just Install the new ZIP file via Upload Package File in "Joomla Extnesion Manager: Install"? Notning can go wrong...?

BR,
The Joomla Update Manager only works if you're using JFBConnect v6.0 (or maybe 6.1) or higher. Once you upgrade to the latest, you'll be able to use the update manager going forward making things easier.

To install now, yes, simply install JFBConnect just like it's new. Our installer will update things automatically and you shouldn't need to reconfigure anything. We always recommend double-checking that things are setup as expected after you install, including any new features, but it's meant to be a very smooth process.

Of course, if you do run into issues, let us know and we'll help however we can. It's rare if there are upgrade problems, but it happens more often when you're further out of date.. like on a version 5 release, which is almost 2 years old now.

I hope that helps,
Alex
