1. After initial installation login updates were being posted to FB

That is good. What all did you install/configure between then and when things stopped working?

2. Mapped fields were not imported into CB (I already had an account - will this be the problem there?)

There is a setting to "Always Import Profile Data". When this is set to Yes, it will import every time the user logs in. If it's not set to Yes, it will only import when the user originally signs up. I just signed up as wlrdq. See if my data imported correctly. You can also delete your User Map and reconnect your account to import the data, I believe.

It is set to YES!!! No data is or has been imported for you me or others?

3. After installation of Invite friends - photo stopped uploading although I've think I've now sussed this in that the picture will not upload to login on the same page as the invite - Is this the way it is expected to work?

This is not the way it should work, I don't think. I can't tell if my photo got imported because I can't get to My Profile page because I have not been approved by a moderator. If you can approve me, I will check it out.

Having used Firefox today the profile pic is loading on the same page so that must be an IE7 issue that won’t let it load! Perhaps you can resolve that? Although not vital for me on this site it maybe on others!

4. Again following the Invite friends login updates are no longer posted to FB?

Yes I can see it has on your wall but it isn’t doing it on mine using two different Facebook accounts I cannot see it at all. Again this happened after the friend invite installation

5. I noticed that my signup confirmation letter did not include a confirmcode. All I got was this:

I think someone else has asked about this on these forums. I will try to search and see what solution we came up with (if any).

I have confirmed your sign up and approved although it is set that I shouldn’t have too – I will have to look into that one!


Re item 5 your second response its late now 14 hours in front of this screen is sending me ga ga <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x --> so Ill look into the plugs tomorrow and reply on that issue.

Hi heres where I'm at.

1. I removed my user name in in joomla and CB

2. Used FB Connect and added new account

3. Im now asked for permission and notification is posted to FB

However on following confimation email link which shouldn't be requred according to my settings it takes me to a page

You need to log out.

on doing so and trying again it takes me to the following.

You are not authorized to view this page!
You need to log in.

4. The profile Pic is now loaded correctly to the login module

5. The FB profile information and the profile pic is NOT loaded into CB

Sorry I dont have a development site but I have one I could put to use

I would prefer it if you could walk me through the steps as it would help me to learn and of course it may help others who read this thread and have similar issues
