Hello there - thanks for JFBC and Invite - they both do exactly what i want.

Sadly though, I can only get Invite to show correctly in a few template positions on my site (tuneboxr.com) - and none of them are where I want it to be!

I've tried turning off other mods and plugs, but I'm not sure what causes it. I really need it to show higher up the template in a central position, but when I put it there the module name shows, along with the first line as configured in admin eg "Use the form below to invite your friends to join you." but then nothing else shows.

I wonder if you have a solution?
Thanks, Lee.

I haven't worked out the conflict, but have used a work-around shown elsewhere in this forum:

If you can PM me a link to your site, I can look at the HTML and see if I can figure out what is causing the conflict.

What happens when you put the invite module in a position where it doesn't show correctly? Does nothing appear or does it show up wrong?

Those other threads are pretty long. What exactly did you do on your site for the work-around?

Did you check to make sure all the latest versions of the component and plugins are installed?

Let us know what you find. Thanks for posting back about your work-around.

Here is the work around I've used...

You can embed the module in an article... Like I have done here (Joomla 1.5.9):
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="zionuccarendtsville.org/connect/">zionuccarendtsville.org/connect/ ... ur-friends

- I created an 'uncategorized' article
- Added the following to the content area: {loadposition user100}
*** 'user100' the # can be anything you want... just make sure it's a higher number than what your site template is configured to use.
- Go to your Module Manager
- Edit the jfbcinvite module
- In the 'Position:' field, manually enter user100 (this must match the same value we just created in our article above).
- Publish and your good to go!

On my article, I turned off pretty much every parameter... like page title, author, dates, etc... This way it has a much cleaner and more integrated look within the site.

Hope this helps!
- Ryan

Thanks for the info. I will try to reproduce the issue and get it fixed so no workaround is needed (if possible). I will post my findings back here. Thanks again for your help.
