Hi there,

it s been a few days now that when I open my website the login button of FB doesn t seem to work properly with the template. I m not sure if FB has changed something or it s going through some changes but when I open pages (like home page or Jomsocial main page) where the JFBConnect FB login is it goes into conflict with other joomla components. It seems to have a huge white space just below the button that goes over other things. I m not sure if I was clear in my explanation but I m attaching some screenshots and the links to the pages in question hoping someone can help. Also in FF when I open the hompage I can't see the image slides I have set up and I thinking it s due to the same problem.

Eros,
This is a bug with Facebook's Javascript that we're hoping they will fix soon. For more information, and a workaround, please see this Facebook Login Button iframe issues post.

Hope that helps, and we hope you'll consider re-subscribing to JFBConnect in the future. There's lots of new features and updates for issues with Facebook being added constantly.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

thanks for the prompt response. My website is in joomla 1.5 and uses JFBConnect version 4.2.2 and in the SCLogin module I don t see the image setting you are referring to. Question: is there another way to work around the problem or am I missing a step here?

Best,

Eros.

Eros,
The image button is a feature of newer SCLogin module versions. You'd need to upgrade if you want to use that functionality from the easy parameters.

If not, you'll need to create your own custom image button instead of the Login with Facebook in the SCLogin module. You can see how in our Common Joomla Facebook Integration Questions guide. You can add that custom HTML anywhere on your site or in a custom HTML module.

Hope that helps answer your questions,
Alex

No problem. There's lots of new features, and bug-fixes, in the 4.3 release which still supports Joomla 1.5. The biggest feature is Open Graph Actions, which are huge for promoting your website. For more information, see our Facebook Open Graph Actions for Joomla blog post.

Either way, best of luck,
Alex
