No worries, no worries! The key line is:
The only actions that can be published upon a user simply consuming content are built-in actions.
The main things to note are that built-in actions (news.reads and others) are still able to be automated. So, you can't create your own "eat" action and have it automatically trigger when a user reads a recipe. You can still have the recipe post to the users Timeline when they read it. You can also have a button on the recipe the user can click to say "I ate this recipe", but it has to be something the user 'does' instead of simply 'views'.
Finally, if you go into Autotune and go to the FB App section and hit "Refresh", the new migration settings through April will appear. Simply hit "Update Application" for JFBConnect to set them all correctly for you. Of course, you can edit your application manually in the developers area as well.
Hope that all explains,
Alex
