You can send more than 15. The 15 is just for how many are sent for each AJAX request. That's the number we've narrowed down to be fast, while most compatible with most hosting configurations. You can increase that number if you want, which may speed up the sending of thousands of requests by a small amount, but you increase the risk of PHP timeouts.
