Hello,
I am having trouble on my website www.delitoon.com/. For some time now, when I click on the facebook connect button, a popup window opens and closes instantanetely and nothing happens.
I checked and the JFBConnect component is well installed, and no error is reported on the JFBConnect configuration. What is the problem ?

Thank you,
Robin

Robin,
There's a few reasons that can help, all of which are usually very easy to fix. Can you first make sure that the Autotune Configuration Tool is reporting no errors for your site? If not, then let us know what version of Joomla and JFBConnect you are using and we can help you resolve the problem.

Also, please post from the account that you subscribed to JFBConnect from. Priority support is for active subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for your answer,
My Joomla version is 1.5.22-brc01
JFBConnect is 3.0.3, it is an old version without Autotune configuration - I guess.

Do I have to update my JFBConnect version to fix the problem ?

Robin,
The 3.0.3 version is more than 2 years old now and definitely will not work. The newest release has a completely updated authentication scheme as the older one was removed and no longer supported by Facebook. You'd need to upgrade JFBConnect to the latest v4.2.5 release to ensure the best compatibility with Facebook's changes.

Finally, a suggestion, though not required. I'm not sure where you downloaded that old version of JFBConnect, but if it wasn't from our site (I can't imagine it was), I'd recommend running a scan on all of your Joomla files for malicious content. Some of our old releases have been uploaded to file sharing sites with alterations to allow easy ways to bypass security. We obviously can't support any issues you run into if you've downloaded software that we can't verify.

Best of luck,
Alex
