Hello!

The Login Button text was ever "Login with Facebook" but now it changed depending the FB language setting of the user.
English: Log In
German Anmelden

Is this a change from Facebook? How can we come back to "Login with Facebook" - any chance to do this ?
JFBCLogin 4.0.2 is used.

Thanks for your support
Frank

Frank,
This is an annoying bug that's been around since late July. It's random and doesn't affect all sites. When it does affect a site, the button will show the "Login with Facebook" button (or whatever custom text you have set) when a user has not already approved your app. The button will revert to "Log In" if 1) the visitor is logged into Facebook and 2) that user has already authenticated your app.

The bug report for the issue is below. Unfortunately, it doesn't look to have any real priority from Facebook:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/207484259379937

I'd recommend the following two things to do:
1) Use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link on the bug report. The more people that report this bug 'officially' (using that link), the higher the priority it will get from Facebook.
2) Use the SCLogin module's Image or Text link options for the button. These will load an image from your site for the button instead of the Javascript button. That will work the same, and should fix your issue completely.

Hope that helps!
Alex

Hello Alex,

thanks for your quick response. But what do you mean with #2? Where can I change SCLogin module's Image or Text link option? I do not see these kind of infos in the mod_jfbclogin module.

Thanks
Frank

The SCLogin module has been a part of JFBConnect since the beginning of the year (at least, don't remember exactly when we added it). We added an option for using a custom image or plain text called "Login Button Type" back in April or May. Using that setting, you can specify an image URL to use instead of the Javascript button that we default too.

If you're still using the JFBCLogin module, I'd highly recommend upgrading to the SCLogin module as it should be a pretty straightforward move and will enable more features (like the image) as well as some fixes we've found since the JFBCLogin button.

Hope that helps,
Alex
