There are many custom CB fields which i cannot map to facebook fields because JFBConnect is not listing them.
A bug or..?

I have the impression JFBConnect does not map CB fields other than input text fields.
This should be fixed so that at least select list fields can be mapped.

We intentionally do not let user map to select fields. The reason for this is because, for instance, select fields have only specific values which are meant to be stored in them. Facebook uses free-form text fields. So if we were to import those fields, your CB fields could have bogus information, which would prevent searches, formatting, etc to not work properly.

This question has come up before but we've never received any good suggestions on how to work around this. If you have any ideas, we'd love to hear it.

Basically.. if you have a select field in Community Builder that asks:
What's your favorite Joomla Book?
- With the options "Training 1", "Book 2", and "Bob's book of Joomla"

If you map this to the "Favorite Books" field in Facebook, which may contain "Animal Farm" or a 1000 word paragraph on the user's feeling about books, what should JFBConnect do in this situation?

There's at least one case in which there can be a reasonable match ratio between a CB select list and an FB field. A country list.
FB members who use the interface in English tend to write the name of the country in a uniform manner.
This would exclude those members who write the name of the country in their own native, of course.

I can't think of any other real world situation in which a CB select list could match an FB field this much.

Anyhow, the overall functional issues you mention are well taken.
