We found the bug, and unfortunately, it means we had to build a new release. So much for a flawless build.

Fortunately, it should just be an uninstall/install and you're in business. Sorry for the inconvenience. The new release is already up and in the "Your Downloads" area. The status in your admin area should also already reflect that 2.5.1 is the most current release.

Let us know if you run into any more issues. This bug was literally caused by the last checkin we made :(

Thanks its working. But....

The following function is not working correctly I think...

New User Redirection:

If I create a account for the first time with the facebook connect, it redirect me to the page I specify. But if I log of and login again it still redirects me to the same page.

Thanks.
Will keep you updated as I'm testing it on this new page of mine.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll investigate it as well. That's not as serious as the last error, but when we find a fix, we'll get something out. There's some other minor things we're already planning as well.

Out of curiosity, is the upgrade process painless? While we don't intend to keep having a release every few days, the least we can do is minimize the pain when we do. If you have any suggestions for improvements in the upgrade process or notification process, let us know. We don't intend to send emails each time (that's annoying), so keep an eye on the little CMS Market widget to notify you when you're out of date.

I noticed the same problem. I just took out the new user redirect completely, as it's too annoying to always be sent there on login. I sure hope they'll fix this soon, as it is an important function to send new users there...

It's ok, but what's confusing is the fact that on first install, the component also installs the plugins, but those are not uninstalled on component uninstall, so it leaves me with an iffy feeling about whether the component was really updated completely....

We've located the issue and will have a release out by tomorrow mid-day. We're also fixing a minor plugin issue which can be experienced if you uninstall JFBConnect, log out, and then try to log back in.

Thanks for posting about the redirection issue. We'll also look into ways to make the install/uninstall process more clear. Currently, we always re-install the plugins just to make sure you have the most recent ones. They're very linked to the component itself, and generally shouldn't be modified. However, we do not uninstall them when you uninstall the component, and that's something we're investigating doing (or at least disabling them)
