Topic-icon JFBConnect 4.2.3 possibly conflicting with Easy Blog autopost feature

Hi,
We have several sites running JFBConnect 4.1.2 and also Stack Ideas' Easy Blog (with blogs autoposting to FB), with both extensions using the same FB app without a problem. Now since we have been using JFBC 4.2.3, Easy Blog autoposting no longer works. We have the Stack Ideas support people looking at the issue - since it is their extension that is not working - but I am wondering if you can think of any differences between your 4.1.2 and 4.2.3 that might be causing the issue?
Please let me know if you would like site details & superadmin or ftp access.

Thanks!

I really don't think there should be any reason. JFBConnect doesn't really do anything in the admin area of your site, and EasyBlog (I think) does it's auto-posting from the admin side, not the front-end side... so, there really shouldn't be a conflict there. As for 4.2, we added the Autotune feature which can change some migration settings. The only one of consequence (that I can think of) is the "Stream Post URL Security" setting. We recommend Disabled as that allows you to post any URL to your walls. If it's enabled, any posts *must* be derived from your App Site URL.. so, check to make sure that isn't enabled somehow.

We're getting more people talking about EasyBlog, so it's something we'll be evaluating for tighter integration as well as more testing with in the future. That doesn't help now, but your feedback on what you're using is definitely useful.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your response, Alex. The EasyBlog support team figured out the problem - their autoposting integration requires the Facebook Page ID - and I had sloppily missed one digit when I cut and pasted it in. So problem solved. (They thought initially it might have something to do with the Page Tab URL's.)

Thanks again for a great product!

Vicki,
So glad to hear you got it going.. Glad (but less so) that it wasn't a conflict with JFBConnect or EasyBlog. We'd had to hurt functionality in other top extensions, and always strive for high compatibility where possible.

If you run into anything else, just let us know. Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory for JFBConnect or our support. It's not required, but certainly appreciated:

Thanks, and good luck!
Alex
