JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist - Joomla Version 1.7.3 was created by trianglewiz

I am trying to upgrade to the latest version. As part of the process, I uninstalled every thing and trying to install com_jfbconnect_j1.5_v4.2.2 and I get the following error, I went through similar threads, made sure that tmp is writable. not sure what else could be the problem.

JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/content/88/8846388/html/xxxx/tmp/install_4fbf7bb4678f0/install/jfbconnect.install.php
Component Install: Could not copy PHP install file.

My Joomla Version: 1.7.3

Triangle,
You're trying to install the Joomla 1.5 version into a Joomla 1.6+ site. You should use the com_jfbconnect_j2.5_xxxx files only. The Joomla 1.5 ones won't work.

Hope that's all it is, but if you run into anything else, let us know!

I'd highly recommend upgrading from 1.7x. to 2.5. There are some big security vulnerabilities in 1.7 (and even early 2.5 releases). 1.7 is also no longer supported by Joomla.org.
