With Facebook further and further restricting how pages are seen on a person's feed, I would LOVE to see a way to contact users directly on their own wall.

What I'd like to see is each time an action takes place on the website (new article posted, a new like clicked, a page recommendation sent from website) that each user who has authorized my fb application got something sent to them directly on their own wall, that an activity has happen, and that activity which is on their wall, would/could then be seen by whomever they are friends with.

Nothing quick and dirty for this. We gladly help make changes to JFBConnect where it's easy to do, but getting a list of user's friends, showing it to the current user, possibly adding a comment box, and then calling back to JFBConnect to actually send the message would take a bit of work. That's not to mention some other automated details about the page, like title, description, etc as well as overall testing.

As Patrick mentions, Facebook is continuously trying to 'protect' users wall. Even the posts that do make it to the wall can easily be marked as spam. If too many of your posts get marked as spam, you're whole application can get banned. It can be very dangerous, actually, to do posts to other user's wall without a lot of monitoring to make sure it's not abused.

However, the new Enhanced Open Graph features that rolled out with the new Timeline stuff is something we'll be adding to JFBConnect later this year. That will allow you to add new user actions to the user's timelines. If your friends have Spotify, you know what I mean.. "Bob is listening to Simon & Garfunkel", etc. It's not in the Wall, but it's honestly where Facebook is trying to push the type of activity your talking about too.. When using Facebook, it's always best to do what they try to push you towards, even if it's possible to do it other ways.

Hope that all explains, but definitely interested in feedback,
Alex
