Hi, we are in a great pickle and we are in dire need of your help. We have installed JFB-Connect on the site and it works sporadically. The SC-login module visible on the home page, below the the register button does not work on the following conditions in IE and opera.

When a registered user, (i.e) a user who has registered using the normal registration form tries to login using the JFB-connect(using the same e-mail id), he is not able to login in IE and opera. However, this seems to work in Mozilla, chrome and safari.

The user is mapped in the user map of the component and is also exits in the joomla user table.

When using the Internet explorer, we also get a blank tab opened up during login which does not close automatically.

Kindly let us know on why this is happening and how we can have this issue resolved.

Scott,
Took a little digging, but we think we know what the main issue. On your site, you have an overall bad HTML layout. The head section is declared twice, once within itself. Some browsers are more tolerant of faulty HTML, but others (especially IE) are much more strict.

If you open the HTML code and just search for head, you'll see what I mean. There's two opening tags, and then two closing tags later on down, with different content defined throughout.

I think once you figure out what's causing those issues, things will start working a lot smoother (and possibly with more than just Facebook, if you have other issues). If not though, let us know, and we'll take another peek.

Thanks,
Alex
