Hi Alzander,

I read on your page/info that SSL Certificate only needs for the Canvas Page + Tab.

How about the:
JFBRequest function?
JFBLogin function?
The Facebook App itself?

Will your component and/or Facebook give a error message if the SSL adres is setup wrong?

Cheers!
Mac

Mac,
SSL is not required for login or the general functions of the App, just Canvas and Page Tab integration.

Facebook Requests rely on the Facebook Canvas, so you'll need to have an SSL certificate setup to use Requests.

The social widgets (comments, Fanbox, etc), login/authentication, or any other features don't need it at all.

Hope that helps,
Alex

JFBConnect doesn't check if you have an SSL certificate other than some notices in the Facebook Canvas configuration in the admin area. So, we wouldn't be the gating factor.

Facebook however, will fail at different points depending on whether you haven't set an Secure Canvas URL, whether you're testing with a FB admin user (which can sometimes get around the https requirement, but can be random), as well as simply not sending the Request at all (if no Canvas has been setup).

You can test, but I can't tell you any ways that will get you around even for testing purposes.
