I have everything installed/configured according to the guide but when I try to login with my FB credentials I get one of two issues:

1) If I'm already logged into FB it merely displays the newsfeed page instead of the prompt requesting I allow the site.
2) If I'm not logged into FB and type in my FB login information I'm told "The application you are trying to access is unavailable or restricted".

Thoughts? I'm at a loss as this seems like a great app to use for our community but I'm unable to get it to work. Thank you for any help you can provide.

You look to have a different Facebook extension installed on your site which is really old, and conflicts with Facebook's Javascript libraries from the last 2 years. I believe it's jConnector, but can't be certain.

If you remove that extension entirely, things will go a lot smoother.

Hope that helps, but if not, let us know!

That did the trick, thank you very much!

One last question and I think I'll have this completely setup:
On my articles (on the actual article) it is displaying the JFBCGraph text before the article. Shouldn't that be hidden? Here is one URL to show what I'm talking about: www.troop1187.org/main/news/164-upcoming-events-in-june.html

Thank you again for all your help...you ROCK!!!

No, that shouldn't be shown there. We've had one other report of that, which we're investigating. For now, please disable the "Use beginning text in article for default" setting in the Open Graph area. That setting was just added in 4.1.2, and it seems that some combination of plugins causes it to show that text instead of JFBConnect properly parsing it out.

Once we have a solution, we'll let you know, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
Alex

Mike,
Please check out the following post from another thread. It had a minor code change you can make which should fix the issue you're having and allow you to re-enable the "Use beginning text in article for default" setting:
www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...-together?p=1#p18298

If that helps, please post there (or here), and let us know so that we have confirmation of the fix.

Thanks, and sorry for the troubles,
Alex
