I have searched hi and low and am starting to under stand some of what I'm doing. I think I have it set up right but..... I can not get the Reveal Page to show up. I have an unpublished public article for my Reveal Page, (a test page) www.stereosales.net/index.php?option=com...t&view=article&id=85. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Just to make sure you know, the Reveal Page only works on Facebook Pages. For example:
www.facebook.com/SourceCoast

If that's where you're trying to view it, what happens when you do? Feel free to post a link to your Facebook Page so we can have a peek at what's happening as well.

As for possible issues if that's all set up:
1) In your Facebook Application, make sure the Page Tab URL is pointing at the home page of your site
2) Make sure you don't already Like the Facebook Page (if you do, the Page Tab URL will be shown directly, not the reveal article ID)
3) The article should be public and published. If not, JFBConnect won't be able to show it to guests (people on your FB Page).

Hope that helps get you started,
Alex

Oops... here is the facebook page that should show the reveal page: www.facebook.com/StereoSales

1) In your Facebook Application, make sure the Page Tab URL is pointing at the home page of your site
Oops... it is pointing at a page in virtuemart: www.stereosales.net/index.php?option=com...53&TreeId=3&vmcchk=1

2) Make sure you don't already Like the Facebook Page (if you do, the Page Tab URL will be shown directly, not the reveal article ID)
I log out and go to: www.facebook.com/StereoSales

3) The article should be public and published. If not, JFBConnect won't be able to show it to guests (people on your FB Page).
Oops... it is public but not published, I will try changing that first.

Richard,
What Page Tab should I be looking at? You have many, so not sure which one is for Joomla. I'm assuming it's this one:
www.facebook.com/StereoSales?sk=app_228913187129396

If not, please link to the one with the sk=app_xxxx at the end, which will guarantee we're looking at the same thing.

Other notes:
* You can use an interior page of your site as the Page Tab URL. Not using one now though (until we get the reveal page working) just helps knock off some possible issues.
* Try re-arranging the JFBCSystem plugin. Try it at the highest order position, or at the lower order position. Drawing at straws, but hopefully that will help.

Really not sure what's going on, but we'll get you going.

Thanks,
Alex

I have way to many testing setups, the target (Page Tab) is: www.facebook.com/StereoSales?sk=app_174631955958451 or apps.facebook.com/new_clearance/ (the first one does not have a template set to 520 width yet, and I would like it to be the second one with the width set to 730)

In the plugin manager all jfbc plugins were set to 0 (if that means top?) will now try with all set to 10,010 (Content - Pagebreak is set to 10,000)

Perhaps by sheer magic (I don't know if I really changed anything about the JFBCSystem plugin) the like page now shows when I go to: www.facebook.com/StereoSales?sk=app_174631955958451.

My goal is to place Google And Facebook ads that send users to here: apps.facebook.com/new_clearance/ (a page in virtuemart) and they see the like page first.

Having them like me is good... having them then land on my wall... is not so good

Please tell me this is possible.

There's no way to do the Reveal Page on an App page (apps.facebook.com..). So, while you can show the "Like us page and get stuff" article inside your application canvas, there's no way (per Facebook) for JFBConnect to detect a Like there and redirect them 'into' you Virtuemart site.

You can do all of the above within your Facebook Page though (show reveal page, user likes, Virtuemart page is then shown within your Facebook Page Tab). It is a smaller canvas width (540px, or whatever), but it's the only area where Reveal Pages are allowed.

If you do the Reveal Page/Facebook Page Tab route, you can use the link in your advertisements to be the direct link to that Page Tab (www.facebook.com/StereoSales?sk=app_174631955958451), so that they won't go directly to your wall ever. You can also set the default Page Tab that a user who hasn't liked your FB Page will go to in the Edit Settings section of your Page.

Hope that's not too confusing. Glad you got the reveal feature going though... baby steps! :)

Alex
