We're running Joomla! 1.5.24 with Community Builder 1.7 (and CB Subs latest version). Just purchased and installed JFBConnect and configured everything as per the Configuration Guide. However, there is no response whatsoever from the Facebook Connect feature. No request for authentication, no popup browser windows, nothing.

The social features appear to be correctly configured and working, whilst the FB Connect side of things appears correctly configured yet completely unusable.

Please advise what can be done to fix this as this is now the third or fourth product we've tried to use to enable Facebook Connect.
You can view the site at: www.britishtrombonesociety.org/ . The JFBConnect function is invoked currently via the "Member Login" popup.

Edward,
It looks like you're using RokBox for that pop-up. If that's the case, you'll need to make a modification to the JFBCLogin module, which are described on the page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/common-support-questions

Follow the 3rd step on that page, "How can I get the Login With Facebook button to work in a Javascript pop-up?", which also makes you follow the question above it, "Can I use a custom image for the Login With Facebook button?". This is all due to a few Javascript issues that are caused between RokBox and the Facebook Javascript library.

Hope that helps, but if you have any other questions, let me know!

Fantastic! Thanks so much, Alex.

We decided to disable the RokBox pop-up and use a plain sidebar module instead. It's cleaner, clearer and more obvious - and, of course, it works!

I can't praise JFBConnect enough. Easy to use, simple to set up and plenty of configuration assistance. Beats all the rest.

Edward,
Very glad to hear we could help and that you're up and running now! I agree with it being more obvious now. When I went to the page, I didn't immediately see the Member Login button, so I think it's a good overall change.

As for your praise, we really appreciate it! Your subscription is what allows us to respond so quickly to support requests as well as keep features and documentation always coming. If you have the time, we'd love it if you'd consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory for JFBConnect. Reviews there really help users which extensions to use (and not to use), so your contributions to the JED are always very useful to us and the community:

Thanks again, good luck with your site, and should you need anything else.. you know where to find us!
