Hi,

When logging on to my site (www.thesenislandforum.co.za), using your component. I get the error: 'Calendar.setup: nothing to setup (no fields found): check your code.'

I have spoken to Jomsocial, and they say it is a problem with your component, as when they disable the JFBC plugin the problem goes away....

Please help!!! I am desperate to get this resolved.

Thanks
Rhyn

Rhyn,
I just tried to register/login to your site, and after hitting the Login With Facebook button, I'm taken to the normal Login/Register page of JFBConnect where I can create a new account or associate it with another one. However, the page isn't inside the template, and I'm assuming has a PHP error somewhere on it. Can you try (with a new FB account) and see if you get the same thing. If so, please turn on Error Reporting in the Global Configuration area of Joomla and let us know any PHP error's you see on the page.

As for the Calendar.setup, we don't have any functionality that includes Calendar or even know what that is. Once I get in, I can try to see the issue myself, but it looks like there's other issues on the site. With that said, another user did report this issue. They said that disabling an unrelated plugin fixed their issue, but unfortunately, didn't specify which:

Hope that helps,

Rhyn,
I just tried to register with JFBConnect again, but am being brought to the normal Joomla registration page. I'm not sure how you've configured this, but that's not right and likely won't create and associate the user to Facebook properly. Unrelated to the calendar question, but wanted to let you know.

As for the calendar, I couldn't see the issue since I wasn't able to login. However, I'm still not sure how we'd be able to fix this for you. The error is coming from JomSocial (I believe), and again, we don't have any calendar support. If there's any information you (or they) can provide about how we're conflicting, we'll gladly do what we can to fix it if we can. Without that information though, we'd have to tear about the JomSocial code to figure out what might be going wrong, and I'm just not familiar with their stuff. Additionally, this is a very rare error, which one other user reported, but it sounded like it wasn't an issue with JFBConnect in that thread I linked too.

Sorry to push it off, but our best suggestion is disabling or re-ordering other plugins until the issue goes away. Once it's narrowed down, we'll gladly help investigate if the problem is with us and fixable, but without it, there's not much we can do.

Thanks,
Alex

Rhyn,
We just had another user report this issue, and they did some digging and came up with a good result. They were using a minfication extension (it was built into their JA template) to combine and minify Javascript files. When they turned that off, it fixed the issue for them. If you're using something similar and still running into this issue, we'd love for you to test it out and see if it helps. The full thread is below:
