I have synch'd an account via jfbconnect and it shows up on my user map. However every single time I try to login to my site, it directs me to the "login or create account" screen. It doesn't rember that my account is already associated with facebook for some reason.
Are both plugins for JFBConnect enabled? That's usually the cause, since one of them is the authentication one. If we can't authenticate, we assume you don't have an account and pass you through to the quick registration form.
